Since the method of a certification examination of the incombustible and sub-incombustible materials was changed in the Building Standard Law revised by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport, and Tourism on June 1, 2000, in addition to a conventional incombustible examination and a conventional febrile examination (corn calorie meter examination), passing a toxic gas examination (mouse test) was obligated. Therefore, passing a new certification examination has become very difficult after the test method is changed, even the product which was able to pass a conventional certification examination as organic system thermal insulation (phenol foam etc.). Our company’s Innotex Foam acquired the “patent” as a result of high-level research and development of incombustible expanded polystyrene, and passed both the incombustible material certification examination and the semi-incombustible material certification examination.
